Ransomware attacks are on the rise. Are you ready?

DATE:  10/13/2021

TIME:  9:00am PT / 12:00pm ET / 5:00pm GMT

PRESENTER:  Ruth Capezzone

The number of breaches has risen significantly, with respondents who had a cyberattack reporting 2.35 breaches on average per year. These were not minor incidents. In eight out of 10 cases, the breach was a material incident requiring reporting to regulators or the involvement of an incident response (IR) team. When asked what is causing breaches, three vectors almost tied at the top to build a picture of external threats and internal weaknesses. Third-party applications were the most common culprit, followed closely by ransomware and out-of-date security technology. The rapid pivot to work from home has exacerbated these issues. Watch a demo of VMware Carbon Black's framework and get a taste of what this platform can do for you. From Carbon Black App Control to Carbon Black’s Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) to Carbon Black Cloud. These tools can help your organization WIN the battle against ransomware!

Matching Cybersecurity Skills to Jobs, A Step to Bridge the Skills Gap

DATE:  10/26/2021

TIME:  9:00am PT / 12:00pm ET / 5:00pm GMT

PRESENTER:  Megan Branch, COO and Jeff Felice, President, CertNexus

There are more cybersecurity jobs open each day. Why is this so? Although some of this increase is due to more remote work and increased activity of cybercriminals, a pronounced challenge we are facing is that there is a discrepancy between the job descriptions being created and the skills that are available. How does this happen? It is both an issue of HR and L&D professionals not having the exposure they need to the rapidly changing skill needs, while individuals flock to popular certifications opposed to those that map to the skills most in need. In this webinar we will help to better align job roles – using the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework – with certifications which best prepare individuals for job openings. The goal of adding another piece to bridge understanding, close the skills gap, and provide pathways to rewarding cybersecurity careers.
